(Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice)
Dorian: Cole, the wooden duck I found on my bed…was that you?
Cole: No. I’m not a wooden duck.
Dorian: I mean did you put it there?
Cole: Yes? I couldn’t find one with little wheels, though. I’m sorry.
Don’t even ask me where the name for the duck came from. Today I was being silly with headcanons and the-savage-nymph-art told me to draw Dorian with his toy. So, here you go.
(I draw commissions, btw.)
Reading through historical sources for a thesis about Leonardo and his workshop and suddenly there is a twisting dagger in my chest.
Apparently Leonardo suffered from a stroke during the 3 last years of his life and was rendered unable to use his hand.
HE COULDN’T DRAW!
I’ve been crying for the part hour and I just can’t stop.
I love this man and to know how much he must have suffered from this - I just can’t!
I'm inconsolable right now.
